Frequently Asked Questions

About Andavour

Why did we start Andavour?

The idea behind Andavour was born from the desire to own an elegant and comfortable leather bag that complements a man's overall outfit without detracting from it. We observed that men's bags often have a practical or technical design that doesn't necessarily enhance the overall appearance. In contrast, women's bags are often designed from a style perspective to seamlessly integrate into an outfit. Therefore, we started Andavour with the mission to create high-quality, elegant bags that are both practical and enhance an outfit. Learn more about us

Price Transparency

What is the difference between a traditional retailer and a direct-to-consumer (DTC) model?

Traditional retailers typically purchase their products from brands (wholesale) that develop collections. This means the supply chain is longer, and costs have to be covered by more parties. We develop our own products and sell them directly to the consumer. The advantage of this is a shorter supply chain, allowing us to offer higher quality products at a more competitive price.

Why do we show the cost prices of our items?

We strongly believe in transparency for our customers. That's why we openly share insights into our product's production costs and the structure of our supply chain.

How do we calculate the 'Traditional Price'?

In traditional fashion industry practice:Cost price/production price x 2 to 2.5 (on average) = wholesale priceWholesale price x 3 to 5 (on average) = retail priceHowever, in our case, due to our shorter production chain, the wholesale aspect as mentioned above doesn't apply. Consequently, the price can remain lower.
